As a PR intern, I was tasked with the assignment of creating an Emily-in-Paris-inspired cocktail pitch. This was during the time one of our clients, Bombay Sapphire, was going through an activation for their Sparkling Lemon cocktail, and our goal was to gain more coverage. We also met with other teams and included clients: Dewar's, Aberfeldy, St. Germain, Teeling Whiskey, D'USSE VSOP, Martini & Rossi and Grey Goose Vodka.

Reaching out to share some Emily in Paris-inspired cocktails for the premiere of season 4 on August 15th. The end of last season left Emily in a bit of a bind between two lovers, Alfie and Gabriel, so drinks are a must to watch all the drama unfold.
Perfect for indulging in the Parisian charm and sipping while Emily navigates her way through the complexities of her love triangle, these craft cocktails add that certain je nais sais quoi to hosting a viewing party with friends or solo binge-watching on your night in. The choice is yours, will you sip Aflie’s Elegant Twist or Gabriel’s Garden?

Alfie’s Elegant Twist
Alfie brings a refreshing English twist to Emily's Parisian life, and this cocktail, featuring London Dry Gin, highlights his British roots—making it the perfect sipping companion while watching him fight for Emily's love.
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz Bombay Sapphire
5 oz Sparkling Lemonade (like San Pellegrino Limonata)
Method: Combine all ingredients in your favorite balloon glass or wine glass full of ice. Garnish with lemon wheel.
Slyvie’s Secret
Similar to Emily’s chic and modern adventures in Paris, the combination of the honeyed notes of whiskey and the floral essence of elderflower add a touch of elegance to your night of binge-watching.

Top With Unsweetened Hibiscus Tea
Method: Quickly shake the ingredients with ice and strain over fresh ice in a glass. Top with hibiscus tea.
Emily’s Strawberry Soirée
The fresh flavors and hues of strawberry and basil embody the vibrant fashion and exciting Parisian summer adventures we have loved watching Emily embrace.
Ingredients:

1 ½ oz Aberfeldy

3-5 Strawberries

3 Basil Leaves

¼ oz Lemon Juice

½ oz Simple Syrup
Method: Shake all ingredients, pour over fresh ice and rock glass. Garnish with a strawberry and basil leaf.
Gabriel’s Garden
The botanical elements of this refreshing spritz, reflect the natural and sophisticated charm that Gabriel brings into Emily’s life.

8-10 Mint Leaves

Lime Wedge For Garnish

Mint Sprig For Garnish
Method: Add ice into a wine glass. Pour in St. Germain and add approximately eight mint leaves. Top with sparkling wine and soda water. Stir the drink to combine all of the ingredients. Garnish with a mint sprig and lime wedge.
Camille’s Clover Club
Just like Camille, Emily’s best friend, this cocktail is sweet and sophisticated. While Camille may have a sweet demeanor, she also has a sharper edge, reflected in this drink through the balanced notes of lemon and raspberry.

Method: Add all ingredients into a shaker, shake with ice and strain into chilled glass + garnish.
French Kiss
Similar to a French 75 but with a cognac twist, this cocktail is a delicious expression of a certain je ne sais quoi.

Top MARTINI & ROSSI Prosecco
Method: Add D'USSÉ, simple syrup and lemon juice into a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a champagne flute. Top with chilled MARTINI & ROSSI Prosecco.
Couture Cosmo
Inspired by the fashion-forward streets of Paris, the Couture Cosmo embodies the essence of Emily’s journey—where every sip is a step into the world of couture and cosmopolitan charm. Perfect for those who live life with flair and finesse, just like Emily in the City of Lights.

Method: Combine liquid ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
Public Relations Capstone
November 2024
PR Capstone is one of the last courses in the PR program at Temple. You are put in a group and have the opportunity to work with a real client all semester. The goal is to create a communications plan and present it to the client at the end of the semester. Our client, Morris Animal Refuge, one of the first animal shelters in the United States, hosts their signature event, the Fur Ball, every year. One of my tasks was to draft a pitch in hopes of gaining media coverage for the event.

Not only is Philadelphia home to the first hospital, but it’s also home to one of the first animal shelters in the United States, Morris Animal Refuge. Founded by trailblazer Elizabeth Morris in 1874, MAR is celebrating its 150th anniversary with the highly anticipated Fur Ball.
This year’s event, held at Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum, will be an evening of entertainment, delicious food, and philanthropy – all to support MAR’s mission of saving homeless and suffering animals. Guests have the opportunity to bid on unique items and cuddle with our precious soon-to-be pets while grooving to the beats of DJ Perry Angelozzi.

The Salvation Army was a client I worked with a lot during my internship at D+P. My internship was during the fall, so the worked picked up a bit during the holidays, as that is their busy season. I was tasked with crafting a pitch to share the news about the generous donation we received from The GIANT Company.
RESULTS:

Hi XX,
To help families in need enjoy a holiday meal, The GIANT Company announced donations of $160,000 and 3,000 hams to organizations addressing food insecurity in their local communities in a recent press release. The Salvation Army in XXX is receiving $5,000 of the total funds to support its holiday hunger relief programs.
